Student Behaviour Management and Modification

Student Behavior Management and Modification course is designed to include a definition of the concept of behavior Modification which can create a healthy and successful academic atmosphere that is realized when the student actively participates in the educational process and when there is a positive relationship between students and teachers. This relationship is governed by the behaviors of both parties towards each other, and these behaviors are naturally divided into positive and negative, which imposes the necessity to find ways to amend and correct negativity, as modifying classroom practices and behaviors is something that can be applied in order to increase the positive effects of the classroom environment in a way that positively affects students' behavior in educational and administrative situations. Behavior is changed and reshaped according to the procedures of support, punishment, extinction and erasure. This Course includes classroom modification strategies, in addition to strategies for avoiding behavioral problems and responding to the academic behavioral needs of students in the school environment in a way that helps to understand how to create positive behaviors in students’ attitude, develop and reinforce the desired behaviors. Student Behavior Management and Modification course also discuss the concept of extinction behaviors and their processes.
