The specification provides the participants with guidance in issues of social responsibility, as institutions assist in their efforts to work in an environment of social responsibility that society demands continuously. International Standard ISO 26000 includes voluntary guidance and does not have mandatory requirements, and is therefore not used as a standard for the granting of conformity certificates.
